When you're working on LinkedIn remember these key points:

• Complete your profile with as much info as you can. Doing only the bare minimum here will ensure people skip over your profile.
• The more direct connections you have, the larger your network. Don't be shy!
• Customization mean more clicks on your site info.
• Let your personality shine through!
• Write recommendations. The more you give, the more you get.
• Groups: these aren't like Facebook. Join as many of these as you can as long as they're relevant to what you want. There's some great discussions that happen in groups!
• Make sure your company has a profile set up as well. More exposure for them and for you.
• You can optimize your rankings by using keywords :)
• Do some searching for apps that you can us to promote you and your work on LinkedIn.
